I first got to know about Fashion of Belle's online store through Facebook. I have never bought clothes online before so I decided to shop around for stuff on this Singaporean-based store. I was quite impressed with the selection of clothes. So I decided to purchase a blue dress (FB112). Payment was processed and I chose normal postage for the dress to be sent to Western Peninsular Malaysia. This was on the 26th of June 2010. The person dealing with my order said that the dress would be posted on the 27th of June. And I waited, knowing that the parcel would take a while to arrive since it was sent by normal postage. On the 13th of July, I finally received the parcel. I noticed that the date of postage on the parcel was 1st of July. The date they said they would post the parcel was 27th of June. That was one thing that annoyed me a bit. Secondly, the item sent was a black tutu skirt. Apparently, the person managing my order misread the item no as FB122. It was fine that they were apologetic about it and offered to give me a 5% discount off my next purchase. They even had the nerve to ask me to pay an extra postage fee for them to send the blue dress. I have already paid for the postage fee but they sent the wrong item. So, I told them why should I pay for postage again when I have already paid for it at the start? I wasn't my fault that they sent the wrong item and had to resend the blue dress to me. Finally, they said I don't have to pay them to send the blue dress and they would reimburse me for sending the black tutu skirt back. They did not specify what form of postage (normal or registered etc) that I should choose send the black skirt back. Because I had to wait for some time for the initial item to be sent by normal postage PLUS the fact that they sent the item later than they had told me, ONLY to receive the WRONG item, I chose registered post (RM3.80) to ensure that they receive the black skirt safely before they can send me my blue dress. I didn't want to risk losing the black skirt via normal postage and having to deal with them saying that they didnt receive their black skirt and therefore, not getting the blue dress which I have ALREADY paid for. Finally, I received the blue dress after a while. I had to follow up on them via email many times after 21st july (the day I sent the skirt back) to ensure that they received the black skirt and send my blue dress immediately... NO reply of acknowledgement from them, I understand if they are busy but seriously, even a quick reply of YES we received or NOT Yet would suffice,...I only got a reply from them on the 30 and 31st of July. I told them that they can reimburse me RM3.80 for sending the black skirt to them. They replied that they would only give me RM1. They said to me "by right,you should send the item (black skirt) using normal postage, as per what you requested to send the item (blue dress) to you." They did NOT specify this to me at the start when we agreed to swap the items by mail. AND, after all the trouble they caused me because of their mistake, they refused to appease a disatisfied customer. ALSO, it would cost more than RM1 to send a card or letter, let alone a skirt from Malaysia to other countries, including Singapore. So, how can they can give me RM1 for sending a skirt to Singapore? Normal postage of the skirt to Singapore would cost more than RM1. I am disappointed not because I didnt get RM3.80 back, but it's how the people managing this online store deal with customers. I will not shop at this website in future and neither would I recommend this to anyone else.
